2014-2015 Final Statement

In compliance with federal guidelines, the City of Inkster approved final projects and funding levels for Inkster’s allocation of the 2014 - 2015 Wayne County CDBG Program funding as follows:

Activity Location Funding
Administration City-Wide $ 20,948
Code Enforcement City-Wide $ 49,888
Demolition City-Wide $ 7,204
Housing Rehabilitation City-Wide $ 25,000
Public Services (Neighborhood Clean Up) City-Wide $ 106,442
Total Estimated Allocation
$ 209,482

The allocation was obtained through the County’s use of a formula that focuses on Low to Moderate Income (LMI) populations/community and includes a weight for population based on the newly released population data. The above activities meet HUD’s National Objectives by benefiting low and moderate income persons and aiding in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight. A public hearing was held to exceed the Public Services cap of 15% of the grant award. To submit comments, please contact M. Jeannie Fields at 313-563-7709. The posting date was February 6, 2015.
