Overview 
The City of Inkster is seeking an IT vendor to help manage the City's IT services. The proposed scope of services includes providing support and troubleshooting for the City's computers and other technology devises and management of the City's network. The City expects to enter into a multi-year agreement with the selected vendor. The proposed contract would begin as soon as the City selects the preferred vendor and once a contract can be agreed upon.  Please view the complete RFP document (PDF) for information.

Background 
The City of Inkster is a municipality located in Western Wayne County. The City has approximately 100 employees.· The City maintains employees and provides services for Public Safety (Police and Fire), Water and Road Services, District Court and Administrative. 

Vendor Information 
The intent of this RFP is to enable the City of Inkster to evaluate vendor experience, qualifications and capabilities for providing IT Services to the City. In order to evaluate each potential vendor, the RFP should include the following information:

C. Current and Prior clients/customers
D. Detailed overview and proposal for services to be offered and delivery method

Qualifications:
• Provide all installation, configuration, maintenance and support of the company's desktops, laptops, smartphones, and peripheral device assets.
• Support all printers, monitors, battery backup units, smartphones, tablets and adapters.
• Support audio/visual needs for virtual and in-person meetings and events
• Monitor network (wired and wireless) to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
• Establish a working relationship and understanding of dedicated business support areas to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients and management.
• Develop, work through, and complete small projects as well as document processes and procedures according to corporate standards.
• Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions and resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, operating systems and various supported software packages.
• Maintain OS and application updates/patches.
• Maintain network topology diagrams and network software/hardware documentation.
• Maintain tracking and oversight of loaned/shared assets
• Provide a proposed fee structure based on an annual basis
• Maintain data backups
• Coordinate hardware diagnostics and repairs.
• Enter and process help desk tickets using an online, reportable tracking system.
• Design, development and maintenance of the City's website(s) and social media.
• Assist with the operation of the City's video production studio and with content production.
Miscellaneous:
The deadline for RFP responses is Friday, October 30, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. All responses should be submitted electronically to the City of Inkster City Clerk, Felicia Rutledge at frutledqe@cityofinkster.com.

Submittals that are not received on or before the specified deadline will not be accepted (no exceptions). The City reserves the right to request follow-up information or clarification from vendors in consideration.

The City of Inkster reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, to compare the relative merits of the respective responses, and to choose a vendor, which in the opinion of the City, will best serve the interests of the City.

Each response to this RFP shall be done at the sole cost and expense of each proposing vendor and with the express understanding that no claims against the City for reimbursement will be accepted.

Evaluation Criteria
Responses to this RFP will help the City identify the most qualified IT consultant and will be indicative of the level of the firm's commitment. The City will evaluate the qualifications, references, overall fit with the City of Inkster, as well as the pricing range/cost to determine the most qualified IT consultant.
