Wheatley Park
The City of Inkster is proud to announce the commencement of construction at Wheatley Park. Wheatley Park is located at Beech Daly between Carlysle and Penn streets, in the South East corner, of the City of Inkster. The first phase of improvements consists of baseball field renovations, basketball court renovations and minor improvements for drainage.
At the end of construction, the baseball diamond will have new infield, dug-outs, pitcher’s mound, batter boxes, bases, fencing improvements, dug-outs and full field renovations. The basketball courts will have new asphalt, new striping, new posts and new backboards. Last, the park will make improvements to alleviate some of the water drainage problems near the construction areas.
