A tornado warning is in effect for northwestern Wayne County, including Inkster. Seek shelter immediately in a basement or interior room on the lowest floor. Avoid windows and protect yourself from flying debris.
The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for northwestern Wayne County until 6:15 PM EDT. A severe storm capable of producing a tornado is moving northeast at 45 mph and may impact Inkster, Dearborn Heights, Garden City, and surrounding areas.
TAKE COVER NOW. Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Stay away from windows and protect yourself from flying debris. If you are outdoors or in a vehicle, seek shelter immediately in a substantial structure.
