Rx Kids Program

The Rx Kids Program is a groundbreaking initiative that supports expecting mothers and newborns by providing direct cash assistance during pregnancy and early infancy. The City of Inkster is proud to share this resource to help residents achieve healthier starts for their families.

What the Program Provides

  • $1,500 prenatal payment for expecting mothers

  • $500 per month for up to six months after the baby is born

  • No application fee

  • No eligibility or income requirements — all expecting parents and infants qualify

How Rx Kids Helps

The program is designed to:

  • Reduce financial stress during pregnancy

  • Support infant health and development
